Hi Jas; I have a '99, 8,000 miles, so far no real problems. I think one thing about these bikes is that you have to do the routine tightening on the motor head because it is a big single with lots of pressure. This could be where some leaks occur. Also, that little rubber gasket up inside the speedometer connection at the crankcase might be missing or need replaced. If you have a chronic leaker and can't really cure it, carry a rag and wipe it off occasionally. I used to ride English bikes, and a rag was standard equipment tucked up under the seat. If you need some specs on tightening up to torque, let me know and I can send them from my OEM manual. Frank M.
